For a THIRD year running, Rokbak are RoSPA Gold Award winners for achieving the highest standards in Health and Safety for their performance in 2022.

The RoSPA Awards are one of the most prestigious and recognised Health and Safety standards in the world. With 2,000 entries every year spanning over 50 countries it is a testament to our standards at Rokbak that we have achieved the Gold Award for the third year in a row.

“Ensuring all employees have a healthy and safe work environment is paramount for us at Rokbak and we are thrilled to see our hard work recognised again. This is a true reflection of our safety performance in 2022, and it could not be achieved without the efforts of the entire team in Motherwell,” says Karen Anne Duffy, HSE & Sustainability Manager.

Being part of the Volvo Group, safety is a huge facet of what we do, and these awards highlight our commitment to safety all year round. With safety at our core, we’re always innovating and bringing new updates and improvements to give both us and our employees peace of mind. We actively encourage employees to report any observations on site (no matter how small!) which allow us to track our performance and provide daily reports. The highest number of observations ever reported was 778 in a year! This allows us to retain our high safety standards as all employees have safety at the forefront of their minds. We’re always testing out new ways to ensure safety and by digitising our First Aid assistance coupled with a zoned approach we have improved our response times and have ensured First Aid cover in every single area on site.

Health and Safety refresher trainings are open for all employees no matter their role, and of course inductions on safety are provided at the beginning of their career with us. Toolbox Talks are another initiative we developed to regularly update employees on the status of our performance which has provided an engaging space where we have been able to develop new ideas and continue to revolutionise safety in the workplace.
