Rokbak stands for reliability, and our articulated haulers are no exception. They’re made for the toughest jobs and roughest sites – whether that’s commercial construction projects, quarries and mines or infrastructure developments. Thanks to a drivetrain that is perfectly balanced, the RA30 and RA40 provide excellent performance in all hauling conditions, from muddy terrain to slippery slopes, from scorching heat to sub-zero conditions.

Introducing the RA40…

The RA40 is the largest of the two haulers, making it a popular choice for major projects. Powered by the Scania DC13 engine, with a gross power of 331 kW (444 hp), a maximum torque of 2,255 Nm and a 38-tonne (41.9 US ton) payload, it features an effective power to weight ratio, ensuring the fast movement of heavy-duty materials on all types of terrain.

…and the smaller but equally robust RA30

If you’re looking for a slightly smaller model that offers the same high-performance levels, the Rokbak RA30 is the perfect choice. This 28-tonne (30.9 US ton) articulated hauler offers a heaped capacity of 17.5 m3 and is powered by a Scania DC9 engine generating gross power of 276 kW (370 hp) and a maximum torque of 1,880 Nm.

Combining power with emissions efficiency

Both Rokbak haulers combine their impressive output and strong performance with emissions-compliant engines, in line with the latest EU Stage V standard. The engines combine perfectly with the adaptive shifting transmission to provide excellent fuel economy.

Haul Track – maximising uptime

The RA40 and RA30 are also linked to Rokbak’s Haul Track telematics system, giving you complete visibility and control of the hauler. You can access GPS and location tracking data together with a range of downloadable daily performance reports detailing machine hours, engine speed, idle time, system fault code alerts and much more. This helps you plan your maintenance more efficiently, maximising uptime and prolonging component cycles.

Smooth operation

Reliability is all about getting more time on the job, so we’ve designed our machines to last. For example, both models are installed with effective and efficient transmission retarder modes, coupled with an exhaust brake and fully enclosed oil-coiled multidisc brakes to keep wear-and-tear to a minimum. This not only lowers the cost of operation for customers, it also ensures total control, safety and stability for operators, no matter how steep the incline.

Quick and easy maintenance

When it’s time for maintenance, our haulers help to minimise service time. With ground level test points, a fully tilting cab and an electronically raised hood, servicing is quick and easy. Interval periods between services are also extended to their optimum level. For the RA40 this means up to 4,000 hours between hydraulic fluid changes and 6,000 hours for transmission fluid changes. This not only maximises uptime and operational efficiency, it also lowers environmental impact, helping to boost sustainability.

Our solid reputation in the hauler industry

Rokbak is all about the heritage and we’ve been manufacturing trucks in Scotland for more than eight decades. As part of the Volvo Group, you can be assured that when you buy a Rokbak hauler, you have a quality, high specification machine that delivers maximum performance and cost-effective ownership.
